Continuous Quality Improvement Consultant / Product & Agile Transformation Coach

Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid)
Duration: 6–9 Month Contract (Possible Extension)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST (7.5 hrs/day)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product & Agile Transformation Coach to support a large-scale transformation initiative focused on shifting from project-based delivery to a product-centric operating model, and from waterfall to agile methodologies.

This role will partner closely with IT leadership, product teams, and delivery organizations to embed modern product thinking, agile practices, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach teams and leadership through transition from project-based to product-based delivery models
  • Guide adoption of agile and hybrid agile methodologies
  • Provide hands-on coaching to:
    • Product Managers / Product Owners
    • Delivery Managers / Scrum Masters
    • Cross-functional technical teams (engineering, QA, operations, etc.)
  • Support development of:
    • Product vision, roadmaps, and delivery pipelines
    • Outcome-based planning and success metrics
    • Backlog management and prioritization frameworks
  • Assess current delivery practices and identify improvement opportunities
  • Facilitate workshops on Agile fundamentals, product mindset, and team alignment
  • Align governance, funding models, and prioritization processes with product delivery
  • Support agile adoption within enterprise and/or regulated environments
  • Provide ongoing insights and recommendations to executive leadership

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Product Coach, or Transformation Consultant
  • Demonstrated success driving:
    • Project Product transformations
    • Waterfall Agile transitions
  • Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Agile and Lean principles
    • Product management practices
    • Iterative and incremental delivery models
  • Ability to influence and coach at team, program, and leadership levels
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience operating in complex organizational environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with public sector or government organizations
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as:
    • Scrum, Kanban, XP
    • SAFe, LeSS, or similar scaling frameworks
  • Experience aligning governance and funding models with product delivery
  • Background in change management or organizational design
  • Relevant certifications such as:
    • Certified Agile Coach (ICP-Client / ICP-ATF)
    • SAFe Program Consultant (SPC)
    • PMP with Agile experience
