Manufacturing Inspection Technician (Biotech/Pharmaceutical)

Sigma Systems is seeking a Manufacturing Inspection Technician to support pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing operations at a state-of-the-art production facility in Fremont, CA. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of life-saving drug products through visual inspection, documentation, and manufacturing support activities performed in a regulated GMP environment.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday
6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Perform visual inspection of pharmaceutical drug products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Identify and document product defects, abnormalities, and quality concerns.
• Operate inspection equipment and prepare inspection stations for daily production activities.
• Execute manufacturing and quality processes in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Complete production documentation, batch records, equipment logs, and electronic manufacturing records.
• Support manufacturing operations through material handling, palletizing, cleaning, and production support activities.
• Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and other computerized systems to document and track work activities.
• Initiate and track work orders and support continuous improvement projects.
• Maintain production areas according to safety and 5S standards.
• Participate in investigations, corrective actions, quality initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
• Assist in training and mentoring team members as qualified.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food manufacturing, or other regulated industries preferred.
• Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or biotechnology vocational training is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to accurately follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer systems and electronic manufacturing documentation systems.

Physical & Visual Requirements

• Must be able to perform detailed visual inspection activities for extended periods.
• Successful completion of vision testing, including color vision evaluation, is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to work in a production environment requiring standing, movement, and repetitive inspection tasks.
