Job Description
We are seeking a qualified, compassionate, and patient-focused Medical Officer to join our growing clinical team in Ikoyi, Lagos. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care across both outpatient and inpatient services, ensuring timely diagnosis, effective treatment, and optimal patient experience.
The role requires a dependable and collaborative professional with excellent clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a structured, fast-paced healthcare environment.
Work Schedule

Outpatient Clinics (OPD): 9-hour shifts, Monday to Saturday, with one weekday off (5 working days per week)

Inpatient Wards (IPD): 12-hour rotational shifts, following a 3 days on / 3 days off schedule
Key Responsibilities

Assess and manage patients through detailed history-taking, physical exams, and appropriate investigations.

Deliver treatment and preventive healthcare in coordination with senior physicians and the Medical Director.

Accurately diagnose a range of conditions and escalate complex cases to specialists when necessary.

Clearly communicate treatment plans, medications, and procedures to patients and their families.

Maintain thorough, real-time patient documentation using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.

Participate in ward rounds, emergency care response, and daily clinic operations.

Support implementation of clinical guidelines and adherence to medical protocols.

Provide guidance to junior doctors, nursing staff, and interns.

Uphold ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and safety regulations.

Refer patients for specialized care or advanced diagnostics as needed.
Requirements
-
MBBS from a recognized and accredited institution.

2-4 years post-NYSC clinical experience in a hospital or primary care setting.

Valid and current MDCN practicing license.

Strong knowledge of general practice, diagnostics, and clinical protocols.

Proficiency in EMR systems and general computer literacy.

Exceptional communication, counseling, and team collaboration skills.

Strong work ethic, time management, and ability to handle high patient volumes.
