Role Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Northern Area Sales Manager to lead our sales operations across Northern Nigeria. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of sales representatives, developing market strategies, and driving business growth through the sales of medical and laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets across Northern Nigeria.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives to ensure consistent performance.
Identify and secure new business opportunities with hospitals, laboratories, clinics, and government healthcare institutions.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, key accounts, and stakeholders.
Conduct regular market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitor activities, and customer needs.
Oversee product demonstrations, technical presentations, and high-level client negotiations.
Collaborate with the technical support team to ensure excellent after-sales service and customer satisfaction.
Monitor and report sales performance, preparing accurate forecasts and territory plans.
Represent the company at medical exhibitions, trade fairs, and industry networking events in the region.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and ethical sales practices.
Requirements
Education: B.Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Medical Laboratory Science, or related Sciences (MBA or professional sales certification is an advantage).
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in medical equipment/healthcare sales, with proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Demonstrated track record of managing key accounts and closing high-value deals in the healthcare sector.
Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Must be based in, or willing to relocate to, Northern Nigeria (Kano/Abuja preferred).
Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively across the region.
