Role Summary

We are seeking a diligent, reliable, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hospitality team at a beach resort in Lekki-Ajah, Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for guests, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and comfort. This role requires professionalism, physical stamina, and a commitment to excellent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitation

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing furniture and surfaces.

  • Sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, sinks, counters, and fixtures.

  • Ensure high hygiene standards are maintained across all rooms and common areas.

Bed Making & Linens

  • Change bed linens, towels, and other room items as required.

  • Ensure beds are neatly made and guest rooms are always presentable.

Waste Management & Supplies

  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste safely.

  • Refill and restock toiletries, cleaning supplies, and consumables.

Organization & Tidiness

  • Keep rooms and public areas organized and free of clutter.

  • Arrange furniture and amenities neatly to maintain guest comfort.

Equipment Maintenance

  • Safely operate, clean, and maintain housekeeping tools and equipment.

  • Report any damages, repairs, or maintenance issues promptly.

Additional Duties (as may be required)

  • Laundry: Wash, fold, and iron clothes and linens.

  • Errands: Assist with basic errands such as grocery shopping or dry-cleaning pickup.

  • Meal Preparation: Support with simple cooking or food service when needed.

  • Guest Service: Respond politely to guest requests and provide assistance as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum of SSCE/WAEC certificate; additional training in housekeeping/hospitality is an advantage.

  • At least 3 years proven experience as a housekeeper in hospitality, hotels, or resorts.

  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safety practices.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail with strong organizational ability.

  • Must be physically fit and able to lift, bend, and perform housekeeping duties for extended periods.

  • Trustworthy, reliable, and professional in conduct.
