Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive client acquisition and revenue growth for our HR consulting services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting the firm's recruitment, outsourcing, and HR advisory solutions.

This role requires a strong understanding of the Nigerian business landscape, excellent sales skills, and the ability to convert prospects into long-term clients.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital channels.
  • Pitch HR consulting services including recruitment, outsourcing, training, and advisory solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals and presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve revenue targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client hiring needs and recommend appropriate HR solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to penetrate new markets and industries.
  • Provide feedback to management on client needs and service improvements.

Collaboration & Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Follow up on client requests and ensure timely execution of projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and client interactions.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Track and report on KPIs including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue targets.
  • Meet or exceed assigned sales and revenue targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition (preferably within HR consulting, recruitment, or professional services).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of HR services such as recruitment, outsourcing, and training.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
  • Result-oriented with a high level of initiative and drive.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of the Nigerian business environment and labour market.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
