Position Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Endocrinologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team in Abuja. The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid diseases, adrenal conditions, and hormonal imbalances. This role requires a dedicated professional with deep expertise in endocrinology and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in line with Nigerian healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert diagnosis and management of endocrine disorders, including complex diabetes cases.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Interpret lab results and imaging studies related to hormonal and metabolic conditions.
Collaborate with primary care physicians, dietitians, and other specialists for integrated care delivery.
Supervise and mentor resident doctors, interns, and medical officers.
Ensure accurate medical documentation in line with ethical and regulatory standards.
Participate in continuous medical education, audits, and clinical governance.
Adhere to best practices and national health regulations for endocrinology care in Nigeria.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate Fellowship in Internal Medicine with subspecialty training and qualification in Endocrinology (e.g., FWACP, FMCP, or equivalent).
Must be fully registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and hold a valid practicing license.
Minimum of 5 years post-fellowship experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex endocrine conditions in a clinical setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
