Job Title: General Manager (Commercial)

Location: Lagos and Ibadan

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience

NB: experience in commercial roles within the manufacturing industry, particularly durable consumer goods is a must and compulsory.

The General Manager, Commercial (GMC) is responsible for leading and managing the company's

commercial activities, with a primary focus on driving revenue growth, fostering business

partnerships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, the GMC will oversee the Export

Team, Research and Development (R&D) Team, Extended Consumer Responsibility (ECR) efforts,

and Contract Manufacturing activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in commercial roles within the manufacturing industry, particularly durable consumer goods.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and business expansion.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commercial Strategy

a. Conduct market analysis to understand industry trends and customer behavior.

b. Define a compelling value proposition and optimize pricing strategies.

c. Develop go-to-market strategies for sales, marketing, and distribution.

d. Set sales targets, establish marketing campaigns, and monitor performance.

e. Establish and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).

2. Business Partnerships

a. Identify and evaluate potential partners aligning with strategic goals.

b. Conduct due diligence and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.

c. Cultivate strategic alliances for synergies and market access.

d. Strengthen relationships with key suppliers and manage supply chains.

e. Track partnership performance and their impact on growth.

f. Engagement of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) and Partners

3. Export Team

a. Execute a strategic plan for international market expansion.

b. Conduct comprehensive market research in target markets.

c. Ensure export activities comply with international trade regulations.

d. Oversee efficient logistics and supply chain processes.

e. Maintain strong relationships with international customers.

4. Research and Development (R&D)

a. Allocate resources effectively to R&D projects.

b. Drive innovation for existing and new products.

c. Maintain quality control standards for products and technologies

d. Foster collaboration between R&D and other departments.

e. Support R&D initiatives to meet evolving customer demands.

5. Extended Consumer Responsibility (ECR)

a. Identify potential corporate partners for tire recycling programs.

b. Develop and negotiate terms with corporate partners.

c. Tailor ECR programs to meet partner needs and sustainability goals.

d. Oversee program implementation, including logistics.

e. Track and analyze ECR program performance against sustainability and financial

targets.

6. Exhibition/Events

a. Coordination of pop-up sales and events

b. Work with the Sales and Marketing team on planning, organizing, and executing the

company's exhibition and sales events

7. Contract Manufacturing

a. Engagement of local and international manufacturers for the integration of FREEE

Recycle products into new products.

b. Creation and management of a network of local and international contract

manufacturers.

c. Oversee the regular assessment of service level provided by contract manufacturers

in terms of quality, speed, and convenience.

d. On-boarding and off-boarding of contract manufacturers
