Salary Range: $1,000 - $1,500 USD (Monthly), commensurate with experience and qualifications

Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Project & Account Manager to join our expanding team in Benin. This hybrid role combines project leadership with strategic client account management. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering high-impact projects while serving as the primary point of contact for key client accounts. The role demands excellence in project execution, stakeholder communication, and client relationship management, with a strong focus on timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.

  • Create detailed project plans including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Track progress, identify deviations, and take corrective actions.

  • Ensure projects meet defined scope, quality standards, and delivery timelines.

Account Management

  • Act as the primary contact for assigned clients.

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with client stakeholders.

  • Convert client needs into actionable deliverables.

  • Drive customer satisfaction and account retention through proactive engagement.

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Collaborate with internal teams (development, design, QA) for smooth project execution.

  • Align both internal and external stakeholders to ensure shared understanding of goals.

  • Lead project meetings, including kick-offs, updates, and reviews.

Client Communication

  • Provide regular, transparent updates to clients on project status.

  • Manage expectations and resolve client concerns professionally and promptly.

  • Ensure all parties are aligned on deliverables, timelines, and outcomes.

Scope, Budget & Risk Management

  • Define and manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.

  • Handle scope changes effectively, including impact communication.

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks proactively.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain up-to-date and comprehensive project documentation.

  • Prepare and share progress and performance reports with stakeholders.

Process Improvement

  • Identify gaps in project execution processes and recommend improvements.

  • Promote and implement PMO best practices across projects.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project and account management.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.

  • Experience in IT, technology, or software development environments is highly desirable.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluency in English and French (both written and spoken) is required.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent.

Technical Proficiency

  • Hands-on experience with project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Trello.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Other Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Benin.

  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed.
