Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our client, a multi specialist hospital in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized medical care to patients with heart problems. The Consultant Cardiologist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, as well as provide preventive care and advice to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform diagnostic tests and procedures to evaluate and diagnose cardiovascular conditions.

- Interpret test results and make accurate diagnoses.

- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical history, test results, and current health status.

- Prescribe medications and monitor patients' response to treatment.

- Perform invasive procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, and pacemaker implantation.

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, technicians, and other specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients.

- Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures.

- Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records of patients.

- Stay informed about the latest advancements and research in the field of cardiology.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Medical degree from an accredited university.

- Residency and fellowship training in cardiology.

- Board certification in cardiology.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Consultant Cardiologist.

- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work well in a team.

- Proficient in using medical equipment and technology.

- Good organizational and time-management skills.

Contract Details:

This is a full-time position based in Abuja, Nigeria. The Consultant Cardiologist will be expected to work full time.  The salary and benefits package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
