Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Facility Manager (Male Preferred) with at least 5 years of experience in managing facilities, particularly in the hospitality and beach sector. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing central power systems, water treatment and storage systems, and general facility operations. This individual should possess a professional degree in Facility Management or a related field and be proficient in overseeing maintenance, safety, and guest experience in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate must be smart, professional, and results-driven, with a commitment to ensuring operational excellence.

As the Facility Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the facility, leading the team, ensuring that all systems are operating efficiently, and enhancing the overall experience for guests. You will also work closely with other departments to drive sustainable practices, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a managerial role, not a supervisory one, with a focus on overall facility management and leadership, not just day-to-day tasks.

Key Responsibilities

* *Day-to-Day Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring that the environment is clean, safe, and efficient for both guests and staff.

* *Team Leadership: Lead the maintenance and operations team, ensuring that all tasks are carried out to high standards and within deadlines, maintaining team accountability and performance.

* *Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and environmental laws, ensuring the facility operates within all relevant legal frameworks.

* *Maintenance Coordination: Oversee the management of regular maintenance and repairs for critical building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and safety equipment.

* *Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and implement policies and procedures that align with the company's goals to ensure consistent and efficient operations across all areas of facility management.

* *Budget and Financial Management: Manage the facility's budget, focusing on cost-effective allocation for maintenance, utilities, and repairs. Prepare financial reports to senior management, and ensure cost control and resource optimization.

* *Vendor and Procurement Management: Oversee vendor relationships and procurement processes, ensuring that all materials and services are procured timely and within budget.

* *Guest Experience:* Work with the hospitality team to ensure that the facility is well-maintained, functional, and contributes positively to the guest experience.

* *Inspections and Audits:* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential maintenance issues, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement. Initiate corrective actions when necessary.

* *Sustainability and Energy Efficiency:* Implement energy-efficient solutions and sustainability practices to reduce operational costs and environmental footprint.

* *Training and Development:* Lead the training and professional development of the maintenance team to ensure they are equipped to meet the demands of facility management.

* *Crisis Management:* Take charge of emergency procedures, handling crises efficiently to minimize disruptions to facility operations.

* *Reporting:* Maintain and prepare detailed reports on all aspects of facility management, including maintenance schedules, safety audits, incident reports, and financial performance.

Requirements

*Gender:* Male (Preferred)

* Experience: Minimum of 5 years in facility management, particularly in the hospitality and beach sector.

Qualifications:

* A professional degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field.

* Certification in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA or similar certification) is preferred.

Skills and Expertise

* Strong knowledge of facility management practices, safety protocols, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).

* Expertise in managing central power systems and ensuring their reliability.

* Strong knowledge in managing water treatment and storage systems.

* Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships.

* Extensive understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Ability to manage crisis situations and carry out emergency troubleshooting.

* Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

* Ability to collaborate across various departments, especially in hospitality and beach sectors, to ensure seamless service delivery and improve guest satisfaction.
