Job Description

Our client a leading provider of medical equipment and supplies in Nigeria committed to improving healthcare delivery by providing quality, innovative and affordable medical equipment to hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities is currently hiring for a consultant family physician's role to join their team in Victoria Island, Lagos. 

As a Consultant Family Physician, you will be responsible for providing primary and specialized medical care to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions, as well as provide preventive care and health education to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and assessments on patients to diagnose and treat various illnesses and injuries
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals to specialists as needed
  • Provide ongoing care and follow-up to patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma
  • Perform minor surgical procedures, such as suturing, biopsies, and wound care
  • Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and self-care techniques
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses, pharmacists, and therapists, to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all regulatory standards and guidelines
  • Stay current with advancements in medical technology, treatments, and research in the field of family medicine

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited university
  • Board certification in Family Medicine
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Family Physician
  • Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and other medical software
  • Valid medical license to practice in Lagos State
