ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, a leading non-profit organization focused on social impact and community development, is seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Communications Manager to lead its communications, brand positioning, media relations, and digital engagement efforts.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening the organization's visibility and reputation, developing compelling narratives, and delivering integrated communications campaigns that drive stakeholder engagement, fundraising, advocacy, partnerships, and organizational growth.
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, exceptional storyteller, and strategic thinker with strong experience managing corporate communications, digital platforms, media relationships, and high-impact campaigns.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement the organization's corporate communications, brand, and reputation strategy.
- Lead integrated communication campaigns supporting fundraising, advocacy, partnerships, volunteer engagement, and organizational visibility.
- Manage media relations and build strong relationships with journalists, media houses, influencers, and strategic partners.
- Oversee the organization's website, social media platforms, email marketing, and digital presence.
- Lead multimedia storytelling initiatives across digital and traditional communication channels.
- Develop and manage content strategies, editorial calendars, newsletters, press releases, speeches, reports, and thought leadership materials.
- Provide strategic communications support to the Executive Director and senior leadership.
- Ensure consistency of messaging and brand identity across all internal and external communications.
- Coordinate communications with programme, fundraising, partnerships, and volunteer teams.
- Monitor media coverage, online conversations, audience engagement, and brand sentiment.
- Track communication KPIs and campaign performance, using insights to improve future campaigns.
- Lead crisis communication and issues management initiatives to protect organizational reputation.
- Manage communication budgets, external vendors, agencies, and creative partners.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop communications and creative team members.
- Support communication activities for events, advocacy initiatives, campaigns, and organizational launches.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in communications, digital marketing, AI, media, and content strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience in corporate communications, strategic communications, public relations, marketing communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience developing and executing corporate communications and brand strategies.
- Strong experience in media relations, digital marketing, content development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience managing communication campaigns and leading creative or communications teams.
- Experience in the non-profit, social impact, CSR, or international development sector is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of reputation management and crisis communications.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills.
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
Relevant certifications in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Public Relations or Corporate Communications
- Strategic Communications
- NIPR, CIPR, or equivalent professional certification
- Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- HubSpot Content or Email Marketing
- Meta Digital Marketing
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile Project Management
