Salary Range: ₦18,000,000 – ₦22,000,000 (Gross Annual)

Job Summary and Role Purpose

The Head of Resources will provide strategic leadership for the organization's Human Resources and Administrative functions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements set by the National Pension Commission (PenCom).

The role is pivotal in driving workforce strategy, operational efficiency, and a strong risk management framework through effective talent acquisition, development, engagement, and retention, while embedding best-in-class HR practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.

  • Advise executive management on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management.

  • Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on all people-related matters.

  • Drive a high-performance culture that promotes accountability, innovation, and ethical conduct.

Recruitment, Talent Management & Succession Planning

  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.

  • Develop and implement talent management and succession planning frameworks.

  • Ensure attraction, development, and retention of high-performing talent.

  • Lead executive and senior management talent review processes.

Performance Management & Organizational Culture

  • Design and manage performance appraisal systems and frameworks.

  • Support managers in goal setting, performance evaluation, and managing underperformance.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and inclusion.

  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Learning & Development

  • Identify training and development needs across the organization.

  • Implement learning programs, leadership development, and career progression initiatives.

  • Drive continuous employee capacity building and professional development.

Organizational Development & Change Management

  • Lead organizational design, restructuring, and transformation initiatives.

  • Drive workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and business growth.

Employee Relations

  • Manage employee engagement and workplace culture initiatives.

  • Handle disciplinary matters, grievances, and conflict resolution.

  • Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and practices.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Develop and manage competitive compensation and benefits structures.

  • Conduct salary benchmarking and periodic compensation reviews.

  • Ensure payroll and benefits administration are accurate and compliant with regulatory standards.

Policy, Compliance & Governance

  • Develop, review, and enforce HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws, PenCom regulations, and corporate governance standards.

  • Maintain accurate HR records, reporting systems, and audit readiness.

HR Operations

  • Oversee HR operations, systems, and processes for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Lead HR analytics and reporting to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Manage staff-related insurance portfolios.

  • Oversee recruitment execution, workforce planning, and staffing strategies.

  • Develop and manage training policies and annual training budgets.

  • Support annual HR planning and organizational workforce strategy.

Administration

  • Supervise administrative support functions across the organization.

  • Oversee office and facility management, including health & safety, fleet, and logistics.

  • Supervise front desk operations and travel coordination.

  • Manage vendor relationships, invoice processing, and expense tracking.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or related field.

  • Master's degree and/or professional HR certifications are an added advantage.

  • Minimum of 15 years' progressive HR experience, with at least 7 years in senior leadership roles.

  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, HR best practices, and corporate governance.

  • Proven experience supporting executive leadership and driving strategic HR initiatives.

  • Mandatory experience within the Pension Industry.

  • Strong background in employee relations, change management, and leadership advisory.

Professional Certifications

  • CIPM (Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria) – Mandatory or highly preferred

  • CIPD (UK), SHRM-CP / SHRM-SCP, or equivalent international certifications

  • Additional certifications in pension, compliance, or risk management are an added advantage
