Position Summary

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing and business development strategies aimed at increasing referrals from hospitals, laboratories, outpatient centres, HMOs, corporate organizations, and other healthcare stakeholders.

The role focuses on driving client acquisition, strengthening relationships with healthcare professionals, and improving client retention under the supervision of the Business Development Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Develop and execute marketing and outreach strategies to increase referrals and client base.

  • Identify and engage hospitals, laboratories, clinics, HMOs, and corporate organizations for business opportunities.

  • Achieve assigned sales and referral targets within designated territories.

  • Promote company services to potential clients and convert leads into active accounts.

Healthcare Marketing & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers.

  • Organize and support marketing activities, medical outreaches, and engagement programs.

  • Participate in clinical meetings and industry events to promote service awareness.

  • Work closely with internal teams to support client onboarding and retention.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Gather market feedback, competitor intelligence, and client insights to support strategy development.

  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for management review.

  • Maintain accurate client databases and update records regularly.

  • Track and report sales performance across assigned territories.

Digital & Content Support

  • Support digital marketing initiatives including social media and email marketing campaigns.

  • Assist in developing content for marketing materials, presentations, and digital platforms.

  • Contribute to improving online visibility and engagement.

Operational Support

  • Coordinate on-ground marketing activities, including visits to healthcare facilities.

  • Collect client feedback and survey data to improve service delivery.

  • Support execution of business development plans and campaigns.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements / Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business Administration, Public Relations, or related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, Healthcare Marketing, or related roles.

  • Experience in medical diagnostics, healthcare, or wellness industry is highly required.

  • Proven experience in client acquisition, referrals, or territory management.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong knowledge of CRM tools and databases.

  • Experience in digital marketing and social media management is an advantage.

  • Ability to develop presentations and business proposals.
