Monthly Net Salary: 300,000-350,000 (based on years of experience)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Cath Lab Technician to join our cardiac team. The successful candidate will assist cardiologists in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including angiograms, angioplasties, and pacemaker implantations. This role involves operating advanced imaging and monitoring systems while ensuring optimal safety and sterile practices throughout all stages of the procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Procedure Duties:

• Prepare and maintain sterile environments and instruments.
• Assist with patient preparation: positioning, sterilizing, and administering pre-procedure medication.
• Review patient medical history to support appropriate care planning.
• Ensure all imaging and monitoring equipment is functional before use.
• Confirm the availability and validity of required consumables and supplies.

During Procedure:

• Operate fluoroscopy, ECG, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment under supervision.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs throughout the procedure.
• Assist cardiologists with instrument handling, contrast dye injection, and catheter manipulation.
• Ensure real-time documentation of procedural data.
• Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff.

Post-Procedure Duties:

• Monitor patients during recovery.
• Remove catheters and apply dressings as required.
• Restock and sanitize the cath lab after each procedure.
• Complete all procedure documentation accurately.
• Participate in quality control, equipment checks, and debrief sessions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education & Certifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Physiology, Health Science, Cardiovascular Technology, or related fields.
• Certification in Cath Lab Technology is preferred.
• Must have completed NYSC.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) is an added advantage.
• Local/state professional license where applicable.

Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or interventional radiology.
• Exceptional new graduates with relevant internship experience in cath lab settings may be considered.

Work Conditions:

• Exposure to radiation and patient bodily fluids in a high-risk care environment.
• May involve rotating shifts, on-call duty, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be physically capable of lifting equipment and assisting patients as needed.
