Salary: ₦150,000 Basic Pay + Commission (Performance-Based)
Reports To: Sales Manager / Branch Sales Lead
ROLE SUMMARY
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, account onboarding, and revenue growth for a leading financial institution. The role requires proactive field engagement, effective customer education, and consistent achievement of monthly sales and funding targets while ensuring compliance with banking standards and operational procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, engage, and onboard prospective customers for new account openings
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to meet customer needs
- Guide customers through the end-to-end account opening and activation process
- Ensure all onboarded accounts meet minimum funding and activation requirements
- Drive consistent account usage and transaction activity among customers
- Achieve assigned monthly acquisition, funding, and revenue targets
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales and onboarding activities
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage retention
- Represent the bank professionally in all engagements and interactions
- Ensure strict compliance with banking regulations and internal policies
- Carry out additional sales and business development tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in any discipline
- 1 – 4 years' experience in sales, marketing, or field operations (banking experience is an advantage)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Target-driven with a strong performance orientation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of banking products and financial services (added advantage)
- High level of professionalism and integrity
- Willingness to work in a field-based role
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
- Basic Salary: ₦150,000 (payable upon achieving 85% of monthly target)
- Commission: Up to ₦50,000 monthly based on performance
- Monthly Target: 580 funded accounts
ACCOUNT PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum deposit threshold: ₦5,000 per account (minimum of 4 transactions monthly)
- Minimum deposit threshold: ₦1,000 per account (minimum of 2 transactions monthly)
