The Financial Reporting Specialist will provide expertise in Financial Reporting that ensures quality and timely submission of both internal and external financial requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Represents
RTR in statutory engagements and ensures all requirements are provided
timely and accurately
- Responsible
for providing inputs to complex internal and external requirements –
reports, flux analysis, FS reviews, Account Reconciliation presentations,
etc., in order for Tower Lead to hold management reviews
- Ensures all
assigned medium - high risk Balance Sheet Reconciliations are reviewed and
approved timely and possess the required quality
- Prepare
relevant compliance for the setup stage of acquisitions/new legal entities
for Country Controller Lead to review and approve
- Ensures that
all reconciling items are resolved within the policy period
- Ensures
issues that require escalation follow the escalation matrix
- Assigned
subject matter expert in Equity Accounting including pension
- Identify,
and if needed run and co-sponsor, Finance-related process improvements and
innovation initiatives
- Additional
operational responsibility for Service Delivery, when applicable or
assigned
- Understands
the business and Finance agenda and translates that into Finance
actions/priorities
- Handles
escalations, issues and concerns related to Financial Reporting from
different stakeholders
- Builds
relationships across the company
- Reviews PSA
Surveys, BSP surveys, and other reports requested from the team.
- Participates
in monthly service management reviews with key stakeholders
- Assist in
facilitation of requests for services that are beyond the standard
services
- Responsible
for managing SLAs and relationships with other groups
- Develop and
maintain working relationships with entity, workgroup and geographic key
contacts
- Assist in
building strong succession plan for self, and BCP for team
- Assists team
members with their assigned work
- Demonstrate
effective teaming skills both within and outside of the team
- Encourage
team members to share knowledge and to leverage proven best practices
- Participate
in people development activities outside of the team (e.g. community
activities, recruiting, and teaching)
Qualifications:
- Graduate of
BS Accountancy, must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Must have at
least 5 years accounting or audit experience in a shared services industry
or with auditing firms
- Experience
in handling accounting in a headcount intensive business structure at
least 2000
- Understands
statutory requirements - SEC and BIR
- Familiarity
/Experience in intercompany accounting, flux reporting and variance
analysis
- Experience
in handling complex account reconciliations
- Ability to
solution for complex issues and accounting problems
- Has worked
in an extensive ERP environment
- Can
articulate/express his/her thoughts in English
- Must be
willing to be assigned in Boni, Mandaluyong City
