About the job Tradesman Chargehand (Mechanical)
1.1 Job Scope Summary
Under general supervision, the Tradesman Chargehand performs a variety of basic tasks in support of the overall facility operation and in maintaining operation of the process plant and power generation plant in compliance with established production schedules and plant output requirements.
1.2 Job Responsibilities
Physical Tasks
- Works with and assists team members in performing and assisting a variety of tasks
- Leading scaffolders
- Assistance with site cleaning
- Assistance with maintenance support
- Use of hand tools and power hand tools as required
- Operates Fork Lift and Front Loader (desirable)
General Tasks
- Follows all facility safety rules and procedures
- Follows instructions given by supervision
- Reports promptly any breaches of HSE procedures to supervisor / management
- Attend HSE Inspections, audits, assessments, and daily/weekly meetings
- Participates in and promotes company health, safety & environmental campaigns, initiatives, and ensures personal safety and that of colleagues at all times
- Understand and complies on company policies and procedures
- Communicate with team member and supervisor

1.3 Educational/Professional Qualifications/Training Certifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
1.4 Job Experience
- Must be physically able to perform manual labour
- Familiar with HSE standards, procedures and requirements
- Experience in performing physical tasks both in an indoor and outdoor area
- Fork Lift and Front Loader license (desirable)
- At least four years of leading scaffolding teams
- At least two years experience with maintenance support
- Similar industry experience is a plus
