Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a maritime background to handle both outbound and inbound introductory calls, manage our sales pipeline, and maintain accurate and detailed documentation. This role is vital in supporting our sales team and ensuring a smooth customer journey from the initial point of contact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outreach to potential clients through outbound efforts and respond to inbound leads. Engage prospects effectively to introduce ShipIn Systems' value proposition, qualifying their needs, and scheduling follow-up meetings.
  • Manage and update the sales pipeline, tracking leads and ensuring timely follow-ups. Ensure that all information is kept up-to-date within the CRM system to facilitate a seamless sales process.
  • Accurately document each interaction and progress in the CRM. Maintain meticulous records to provide the sales team with insights, improve sales strategies, and contribute to forecasting efforts.
  • Work closely with Account Executives and other sales team members to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads and assist with any follow-up required.
  • Apply maritime industry knowledge to engage with potential clients effectively, understanding specific industry pain points and positioning solutions that address their needs.


Qualifications / Experiences:

  • 5+ years in a sales development or similar role, ideally within the maritime industry or related B2B sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage prospects confidently and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) for pipeline management, lead tracking, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills, with an emphasis on accuracy in documentation and attention to detail in managing the sales pipeline.
  • Ability to work independently, stay motivated, and meet individual and team targets.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with maritime operations, industry challenges, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in SaaS sales or software solutions for B2B clients.

  • Additional language skills relevant to maritime regions (e.g., Greek, Spanish) are a plus.
