Our client is a global innovator in motion control and automation components. It is a key player in the "brain and muscle" of modern robotics—providing high-performance HMIs, PLC systems, and specialized Servo/Stepper drive solutions.With the North American automation market at an inflection point, our client is looking for a Sales Manager to focus specifically on the Robotics and Logistics Automation ecosystems. This is a "hunter" role designed for a professional who understands the technical nuances of mobile platforms, sorting systems, and smart factory integration.
Responsibilities
- Targeted Robotics Development: Lead the business development strategy for the Mobile Robotics (AGV, AMR, and Cobot) sector, promoting specialized DC servo systems and frameless motor technology to OEM robot manufacturers.
- Logistics and Warehousing Expansion: Secure strategic partnerships with manufacturers of automated sorting systems, conveyors, and ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) by providing integrated control and drive solutions.
- Industrial OEM Acquisition: Identify and penetrate high-potential Industrial Automation accounts, focusing on machine builders requiring high-precision motion control and advanced HMI interfaces.
- Technical Consultation: Act as a technical bridge, translating the unique power-density and communication requirements (EtherCAT, CANopen) of robotics customers into customized solutions.
Requirements
- Industry Expertise: 5+ years of proven success selling to Robotics OEMs or Logistics/Material Handling equipment manufacturers.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of Motion Control (Servo/Stepper drives) and Control Systems (PLC/HMI). Familiarity with low-voltage DC power requirements for mobile platforms is a major plus.
- Sales Acumen: A track record of securing "design-wins" during the R&D phase of OEM product development.
- Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% to visit key innovation hubs and attend industry-specific trade shows (e.g., Automate, ProMat).
