This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing and optimizing the human resources management system for the Japan market, overseeing all HR functions to support the company's local business expansion. You will play a core role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives, building a high-performing team, and ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes to drive organizational success.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine HR policies and procedures tailored to the Japan market, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and alignment with the company's global HR standards.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including talent mapping, interview coordination, offer negotiation, and onboarding, to attract and retain top-tier professionals for various business functions.
- Design and manage employee training and development programs, identifying skill gaps and implementing initiatives to enhance team capability and employee career growth.
- Oversee performance management systems, including goal setting, performance appraisals, and feedback mechanisms, to motivate employees and improve overall team performance.
- Manage employee relations effectively, addressing workplace issues, handling employee inquiries, and fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the Japan market and accurate execution of payroll-related processes.
- Collaborate with the global HR team to share best practices, align HR strategies, and support cross-border talent mobility and integration.
Requirements
- Master's degree from a renowned university in Japan .
- Fluent in both Chinese and Japanese (written and spoken), with excellent communication and negotiation skills in both languages—convenient for efficient communication and collaboration with Chinese and Japanese teams and employees.
- 5+ years of comprehensive HR management experience, with a deep understanding of HR operations including recruitment, performance management, compensation & benefits, and employee relations.
- Working experience in listed companies is highly preferred; experience in the education industry or multinational corporations will be a plus.
- Familiar with Japan's labor laws and regulations, with a strong sense of compliance and risk management.
- Strong project management skills, able to independently drive HR system construction and process optimization projects.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced and cross-cultural work environment.
