Job Title: Finance & Accounts Manager / Financial Controller
Location: SITE, Karachi

Job Summary:
We are looking for an Assistant Manager Finance for our client in the Logistics & Distribution industry. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or finance and at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role. The Assistant Manager Finance will be responsible for financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting:
- Ensuring General Ledger (GL) accounting entries are completed by the team on a daily basis.
- Review and close Monthly GL reconciliation before month end.
- Review and close Trial Balances by the 2nd of every month.
- Ensuring completion of bank reconciliations by the team and complete the review by 2nd of every month.
- Preparing Monthly Management Accounts on Excel.
- Controlling & Coordination:
- Ensure very robust working capital management including taking actions on ageing reports.
- Manage relationships with banks, other HODs.
- Ensure timely submission of tax filing.
- Manage annual audits exercise and ensure timely completion of Audits.
- Very organized coordination with other departments and branches.
- Performance Reporting:
- Improving Performance reporting and develop new reports formats.
- Developing ad-hoc analysis as requested by the CEO & COO.
- ERP and Processes:
- Implement new and improved controls and develop new improved processes.
- Implementing new ERP system across the organization.
- Budgeting and Planning:
- Lead the Annual budgeting exercise.
- Preparation of bottom up Budget including new budgeting excel format.
Key Requirements:
- 5-6 years of industry experience.
- Experience in implementation of new ERP is crucial.
- Experience of working in distribution, and logistics companies will be an advantage.
- Strong experience in coaching and improving the team performance.
- Ability to handle pressure and deadlines.
- Ability to deal with Senior Management.
- Excellent communication and relationship management with other departments.
- Strong Excel skills.
- In-depth understanding of accounting concepts and control systems.
- Qualified or Part qualified CA, CIMA or ACCA.
