Job Description:

Directly responsible for growing sales and market share of expendables in North America - accountable to achieve sales targets for expendables:

  • Manage & support local distributor in growing sales
  • Provide technical support to NA customers with support from central technical teams in Europe.
  • Support expendable installation at customer site if/when required.
  • In permanent contact with the various internal departments, ensure timely and qualitative processing and delivery of expendable quotes and orders.

Responsible for hot and cold repairs in North America:

  • Main point of contact for emergency repairs or planned maintenance operations.
  • Manage relationship with local installation partners. Provide information and training on our range of solutions.
  • Coordinate with SEFPRO technical experts to recommend best solutions for customer repairs.
  • Follow-up and coordinate supply of material for repair projects from our local inventory.
  • Provide onsite customer support for product installation. Collaborate with installation companies & partners during installation of Care products.

Field sales role to cultivate customer proximity and identify opportunities for all SEFPRO solutions:

  • Represent SEFPRO in our customer plants - follow-up on performance of our solutions (furnace refractories, expendables, monitoring installations...)
  • Present all range of SEFPRO solutions as required. Identify cross-selling opportunities and generate leads for NA sales team. Strong collaboration with NA sales managers.
  • Generate & follow-up on quotes for opportunities identified during visits (expendables, repairs, services).
  • Support with 3D scans and other service interventions at customer plants.
  • Support sales managers in SEFPRO Care and expendable promotion to their customers.

Required Experience:

  • This role must have technical expertise in the glass industry, industrial ceramics, materials and/or refractories. Willingness to learn all about glass furnaces and their operations with a focus on refractories.
  • 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally related to glass production or refractories. Recent graduates in Ceramics will also be considered.
  • The position must also possess the ability to build strong relationships with customers and influence customer decision making through effective communication, material knowledge, and understanding of customer requirements.
  • This candidate must also be a dedicated, self-starter with a high degree of motivation. Reactive to customer requests and driven to grow and develop a business.
  • Willingness to travel >75% of the time for customer site visits primarily in North America.
