About SENED

SENED is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization licensed and registered in Türkiye with the number 27-15-175. SENED Organization was established shortly after the Syrian Nakba and in response to the suffering of millions of Syrian refugees in Turkey as well as internally displaced people in Syria, with the aim of alleviating suffering, achieving justice, equality, and freedom, strengthening the role of civil society, and supporting and developing the local community. SENED works in the humanitarian work sectors to support, empower, and educate the community through several programs, and takes special care of people with disabilities and their families and defends their issues.

SENED Association emphasizes the need to create safe, accessible, and participation-encouraging living conditions for the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social development of individuals by focusing on the people with disabilities. Beyond the medical perspective on disability, it tries to find solutions to the problems faced by disabled people with a holistic perspective by considering the disabled people, their families, and the society they live in, focusing on the conditions they experience. SENED Association aims to create a safe and supportive environment and space by conducting family-oriented activities to help disabled individuals and their families to become stronger, discover their potential and stand by with their children. By collecting data on refugee disabled people, identifying problems and needs, SENED strives to ensure harmony between disabled refugees and local people with a voluntary, professional team and a community-based approach. In all activities, education, research, advocacy, etc. carried out on platforms created by local and disabled refugee people.

Job purpose:

Reporting to the Program officer, the program assistant is responsible for the daily planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of cash and livelihoods activities. S/he will ensure proper coordination with the team in the field. Program assistant is also responsible for arranging meetings, workshops and training courses pertaining to programme development, and provides support in making the necessary logistical and financial arrangements.

Duties, objectives and competencies:

- Plan, coordinate, monitor, and implement assigned projects

- Ensure that all emergency response data, reports, and records are well-organized and archived.

- Collaborate with supporting departments.

- Provides logistics, administrative, travel and secretarial support, in line with Sened rules and regulations, maintaining full confidentiality in all aspects of assignment; maintenance of protocol procedures, information flow and follow up on deadlines and commitments made.

- Monitor and evaluate the progress of beneficiaries.

- Collect and analyze data to support project planning, monitoring, evaluation, and operations.

- Participate in project activities, including needs assessment, meetings, training, workshops, and events.

- Support the program officers in enhancing existing project tools and developing new ones as needed.

- Ensure the quality of project database and prevent duplications.

- Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Essential

  • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems
  • Preferably has bachelors degree, with minimum one year of relevant professional experience
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Fluency in Turkish and English is required. Arabic is advantages.
  • Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.

Requirements (desired)

  • Experience in procurement and logistics is an asset.
  • Working experience with an international organization is an asset.
