Job Description:

Job Title: Cloud DevOps Engineer 
Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (Partly remote!)

**You must be currently residing in or very near Toronto, ON**

Term: 6 month contract to start - extensions are HIGHLY likely

Pay: $75 - $90/ hour commensurate with experience

With a reputation for continually providing a broad range of financial services to our clients worldwide, they remain true to their founding principles, tailoring solutions to clients exact needs, continually investing in their network to deliver the highest-quality solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced, Cloud DevOps Engineer, to join their established team, to help build and support the AWS infrastructure for a flagship investment accounting platform.


What you will be doing:

  • Implement end to end highly scalable, available, and resilient cloud engineering solutions for infrastructure and application components using AWS.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and applications
  • Write infrastructure automation scripts, templates and integrate with DevOps tools
  • Automate smoke test and integrate test automation scripts such as unit tests, integration tests, performance tests into the CI\CD process
  • Troubleshoot AWS environments


**What you must have** Please do not apply unless you meet all of the following requirements**

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years in IT or Software Engineering including 1 to 2 years an AWS cloud environment
  • Minimum 2 years of DevOps experience
  • Highly proficient in Python
  • Experience with AWS Services: CloudFormation, EC2, Fargate, ECS, Docker, Autoscaling, ELB, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, CodeCommit / Git, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, Jenkins, Artifactory, ECR
  • Experience in setting up and troubleshooting AWS production environments
  • Experience in implementing end to end CI/CD Delivery pipelines
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Advanced hands-on skills operating in Linux and Windows
  • Proven knowledge of application architecture, networking, security, reliability, and scalability concepts; software design principles and patterns
  • Must be self-motivated and driven
