Title: Hardware Design Engineer (ASIC RTL/FPGA/Algorithms)
Location: Richmond, BC - Hybrid (Only 6 days on-site per month)
Type: Full Time - Permanent Position
Pay: $135,000 - $145,000 Annually + Bonus + RRSP Matching

Job Description:
The successful candidate will work within existing team creating cutting edge technology solutions for industrial/automotive sectors.
The ideal candidate:
- Understands industry challenges and design, implement and test solutions in MATLAB/ Simulink based on top level requirements.
- Develops and verifies models at various abstraction levels, e.g, quick proof of concepts to detailed fixed point implementations suitable for ASIC RTL implementations (versatility is a must).
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering /Computer Engineering/Computer Science is required
- Minimum of 2+ years of relevant professional experience is required.
- 5+ years of Matlab/Simulink development expertise on engineering projects.
- Expertise in mathematical and first principles modelling of control systems or equivalent course completion with a minimum grading of B.
- Knowledge of Communication Theory and Digital Signal Processing
- Knowledge of Digital Design and hands on experience with RTL design in Verilog.
- Python programming
- Data Analysis
- Programming knowledge of C
- FPGA design/test experience preferably Xilinx based devices
- Use of EDA design tools
- Hands on experience with Simulation, debugging, timing analysis and synthesis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Optional domain knowledge and expertise
- Experience working on products for the Automotive/Industrial/Robotics sector
- Experience with embedded Display systems, MCUs or Motor Controllers
- Experience with Image processing techniques
