Job Description:

Title: Senior Project Manager - Wine/ Beer/ Beverages

Type: 12-month contract - plus extensions - expected to be 2-3 years

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid - 2-3 days in office/ per week

Pay: $70 - $80/ Hour (Commensurate with experience)

Our client is in the process of a PMO transformation and experiencing significant growth. Thus they are seeking a seasoned business savvy Project Manager who has the experience not only to lead projects, but solve business problems and provide guidance on technology solutions. You will partner with business experts and lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that bring the greatest value to the organization.

Working within the Project Management Office, this role will be part of the team responsible for delivering project as part of the organizations growth and goals into realized projects. The Senior Project Manager will play an integral role developing and implementing key corporate initiatives to growing business for the long term.

The Role

Work with business and IT stakeholders to scope out projects, including functional and technical deliverables, cost estimates, resources, and identification of benefits

  • Initiate IT projects by preparing project scope documents and charters
  • Prepare project plans and schedules
  • Ensure projects meet quality, schedule and budget objectives
  • Manage all phases of implementation, including status reporting, issue resolution, and cost monitoring
  • Update and negotiate resource requirements
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties / vendors
  • Facilitate Steering Committee meetings
  • Conduct risk management assessments and plans
  • Conduct post-implementation debriefs to identify recommendations for continuous improvement

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher,  in a business or technology-related field
  • PMP or Prince2 certification
  • 6+ years experience in a Project Manager role, managing small to large-scale projects
  • 10 years in technology or more
  • Experience with vendor selection, COTS implementation, and business process improvement
  • Familiarity with cloud, client / server, and relational database concepts
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Excel, MS Teams, MS Project, MS Visio and SDLC
  • Experience in Wine / Beer / Beverage industry is desired
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
