About the Opportunity
Seattle Search Group is partnering with a highly respected, established professional services firm in Downtown Los Angeles seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its growing Accounting & Finance team.

The position follows a three-day in-office / two-day remote schedule.
Position Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will manage client receivables with a strong emphasis on collections, analysis, and relationship management.
This is not simply a transactional collections position. The successful candidate will monitor outstanding receivables, identify trends and potential issues, and provide meaningful analytical information to internal stakeholders.
The position requires someone who can be persistent about collecting outstanding balances while maintaining strong, professional relationships with clients and internal business leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Perform proactive follow-up on past-due accounts.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment status.
- Research and resolve billing and payment discrepancies.
- Review aging reports and identify collection trends, risks, and problem accounts.
- Provide analytical reporting on collections and outstanding receivables to internal stakeholders.
- Track collection activity and maintain accurate account notes.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with billing and accounting teams to resolve invoice-related issues.
- Assist with incoming payment research and proper application.
- Prepare recurring AR and collection reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and cash flow.
- Support month-end activities and other Accounting & Finance projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable and commercial collections experience.
- Previous experience in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred.
- Strong collections experience with the ability to maintain positive client relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with aging reports and AR data.
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Elite 3E or similar professional services accounting software is a plus.
A college degree is preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
$75,000-$85,000 annually, depending on experience.
