About the job Learning and Development Specialist
The role requires the incumbent to partner with the business to support a wide range of Learning & Development activities, ensuring that development goals are met. Responsibilities include coordinating leadership programs, facilitating inductions, and implementing competency matrices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct annual Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) at various levels and analyze development investment requirements.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBP) and line managers on staff development planning and annual training plans.
- Customize and develop training programs to support line management requirements and facilitate courses as needed.
- Communicate and promote learning programs to ensure awareness and encourage participation.
- Coordinate and organize country-level programs, maintaining records of learning activities, investments, and vendors.
- Manage learning venues, coordinate attendees, and handle recharging as required.
- Follow up on training progress, gather feedback, and ensure training effectiveness and behavior change.
- Maximize opportunities for grants.
- Implement competency matrices and appropriate technical training in collaboration with line trainers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Manage the line trainer program, recommend appropriate trainers, monitor training standards, and maintain documentation.
- Ensure training policies and information are accessible and well-organized.
- Facilitate induction programs to familiarize new employees with the companys business, policies, and culture.
- Support leadership development by coordinating implementation of programs for managers and supervisors.
- Manage graduate and internship programs, maintaining records and relevant learning activities.
Requirements:
- Recognized Bachelor Degree (preferred)
- Train the Trainer Certification (preferred)
- 5 7 years of relevant Learning and Development and/or HR experience preferred
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills
- Foundational project management skills
- Proficiency in software tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- In-depth knowledge of training management and practices
- Strong influencing skills and ability to work effectively in a team structure
- Ability to translate strategies into realistic implementation plans
- Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and E-learning is beneficial
- Ability to support audits, reporting, and compliance
- Highly driven with good communication and interpersonal skills and strong initiative to learn and grow
