The role requires the incumbent to lead projects from conception to completion, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The candidate will manage project planning, execution, and team management to ensure successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:

    • Acquire project requirements including resources, information, and materials.
    • Conduct project reviews to recommend schedule changes and resource adjustments.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including activities, resource planning, and cost estimation.
    • Document scope changes, issues, and risks affecting implementation.
    • Ensure projects meet schedules, budgets, and technical quality targets.
    • Establish and gain consensus on project goals with stakeholders.
    • Resolve issues associated with project implementation with users, technical staff, and management.
  • Team Management:

    • Define common goals and accountability among staff.
    • Develop staff through coaching, mentoring, and career discussions.
    • Implement effective performance management practices.
    • Oversee team management, including budgets, forecasting, work allocations, and staffing.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on IT or software development projects. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified IT Project Manager, PMP, CITPM, CSM, or similar certification is desirable.
  • Skills: Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, familiarity with both waterfall and agile frameworks, strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
