Structural Design Engineer

The role requires the incumbent to prepare detailed reports, designs, and drawings while ensuring the structural integrity of construction projects. The candidate will provide technical advice and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive reports, designs, and drawings for construction projects.
• Perform calculations to determine pressures, loads, and stresses on structural components.
• Assess and select appropriate construction materials based on strength and suitability.
• Provide technical advice to ensure designs and constructions are safe and compliant.
• Obtain necessary planning and building regulations approval.
• Analyze structural configurations and components to ensure soundness.
• Monitor and inspect contractors' work to ensure it meets structural integrity standards.
• Evaluate properties to assess conditions and foundations.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) technology for simulation and design purposes.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Registration: Registered with the Institute of Structural Engineers.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience in project management.
