Responsibilities

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, designs, and drawings for construction projects.
  • Perform calculations to determine pressures, loads, and stresses on structural components.
  • Assess and select appropriate construction materials based on strength and suitability.
  • Provide technical advice to ensure designs and constructions are safe and compliant.
  • Obtain necessary planning and building regulations approval.
  • Analyze structural configurations and components to ensure soundness.
  • Monitor and inspect contractors' work to ensure it meets structural integrity standards.
  • Evaluate properties to assess conditions and foundations.
  • Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) technology for simulation and design purposes.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Registration: Registered with the Institute of Structural Engineers.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in project management.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
    • Strong understanding of physics and mathematics related to structural engineering.
    • Ability to liaise effectively with professionals from various disciplines.
