About the job Restructuring and Insolvency Director
Our client, a leading independent advisory firm with offices across Asia, is seeking an ambitious and qualified candidate to join their Hong Kong office as a member of their senior team. They specialise in forensic accounting, corporate advisory, restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency services. Our client is lead by experienced professionals with extensive backgrounds in both onshore and offshore markets. Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day issues on restructuring and insolvency engagements.
- Oversee and ensure full compliance with statutory matters for insolvency.
- Review and issue reports, correspondence, presentations, and other deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of best practices.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders.
- Coach, train, and build capabilities of team members.
- Be involved in business development and marketing activities.
- Initiate and lead client meetings and strategy discussions with Senior Management.
- Review and oversee investigative work for asset recovery, including financial modeling.
- Reconstruct and review complex accounting records.
- Manage a variety of projects and engagements.
- Liaise with stakeholders, creditors, and other advisors.
- Travel may be required.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Law, or other Business-related discipline preferred.
- CA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including insolvency, restructuring, and forensic accounting.
- Proven track record of business development.
- Experience leading all aspects of engagements and working with C-Suite, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen, autonomous, entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong team player with extensive experience in leading and managing multiple engagements and teams.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience in cross-border matters is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
- Ability to write concise and clearly structured reports.
- Good understanding of business needs, drivers, and foundations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
