Our client, a leading independent advisory firm with offices across Asia and the Middle East, is seeking an ambitious and qualified candidate to join their Hong Kong office as a member of their senior team. They specialise in forensic accounting, corporate advisory, restructuring, turnaround, and insolvency services. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in day-to-day administration of different compulsory and voluntary liquidations.
  • Assist on bankruptcy, receivership and/or restructuring engagements.
  • Draft reports, correspondence and other deliverables to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices.
  • Take part in establishing and developing client networks.
  • Undertake investigative work for the benefit of recovering assets.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • For insolvency matters, attend to statutory and compliance matters.
  • Working on and managing a variety of projects and engagements.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, creditors and other advisors.
  • Traveling to China/overseas may be required.

The successful candidate will possess technical knowledge of financial accounting practices and be able to demonstrate experience (commensurate with the applicable employment grade) with the following requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Law or other Business-related discipline preferred.
  • CA, CPA or equivalent. Consideration will also be given to part qualified candidates, with support given to complete the qualification process.
  • 2+ years relevant experience for the position of Senior Associate.
  • Adequate business and commercial senses.
  • Experience in cross-border matters would be advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
