About the job:

Our client is seeking researchers and/or case managers to join their growing Asia practice. Ideal candidates will have experience in due diligence, ESG and Human Rights, disputes and litigation support, political risk, and/or investigative journalism. Candidates from other backgrounds looking for a career change are also welcome. The position offered will depend on the candidates prior experience in a relevant field.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage investigative assignments: Conduct complex open source and human intelligence-led investigations, including pre-transactional integrity due diligence checks.
  • Report writing: Produce concise and cogent reports that integrate research findings with in-depth contextual analysis.
  • Client briefings: Deliver written and verbal briefings to senior management and clients.
  • Business development: Prepare proposals for new business and support the development of the human source network in Asia. 
  • Team training: Assist in training new team members and proofreading reports.

Required experience:

  • Language proficiency: Fluency in English and at least one key regional language (Mandarin, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, or Bahasa).
  • Work experience: 1-4 years of full-time post-graduate work experience in corporate intelligence or a relevant investigative background.
  • Research tools: Experience using open source research tools such as LexisNexis and Factiva.
  • Project management: Ability to plan and manage multifaceted research projects.
  • Educational background: A bachelors degree in a relevant field.
  • Technical Skills: Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
