Manager | Forensic Accounting & Investigations

Role Summary:

As the Manager, you will work as part of a team of skilled investigators and collaborate closely with legal experts. Your primary focus will be on financial investigations, fraud detection, and compliance. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience from a Big 4 Accounting firm or a reputable global consulting organisation.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Investigations:
   • Lead and manage complex financial investigations, including asset tracing, embezzlement, and money laundering cases.
   • Analyse financial records, transactions, and irregularities to uncover hidden patterns and discrepancies.
   • Collaborate with legal teams to provide expert insights during legal proceedings.
2. Fraud Detection and Prevention:
   • Develop and implement strategies to detect and prevent fraudulent activities within the organization.
   • Conduct risk assessments and design internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
   • Investigate suspicious transactions and recommend corrective actions.
3. Compliance and Due Diligence:
   • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
   • Perform due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and business partnerships.
   • Assess financial risks associated with potential clients or partners.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
   • Prepare detailed reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
   • Maintain accurate documentation of findings and investigative processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in forensic accounting, with a focus on investigations.
• Proven track record in a Big 4 Accounting firm or global consulting environment.
• Fluent in Chinese and English (both written and spoken).
