About the job Associate Director/Director, Business Intelligence & Risk Consulting (Hong Kong)
The Opportunity
We are working with a leading global professional services firm renowned for its deep expertise in ESG compliance, risk advisory, and strategic intelligence. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join their respected Business Intelligence (BI) practice in Hong Kong.
This is a unique, key management role where the successful hire will be a central pillar for the practice's operations, quality assurance, and team development across Greater China and Southeast Asia. The firm is open to appointing a high potential Associate Director (AD) or an established Director to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
This role heavily focuses on operational excellence, quality control, and people development:
- Operational & quality assurance leadership: Act as the primary gatekeeper for quality within the team, establishing and enforcing rigorous, error free QA protocols for all investigative reports delivered to the end-user clients.
- Expert delivery: Personally lead and execute complex investigative due diligence, litigation support, and strategic intelligence mandates. Must be able to deliver client-ready work and navigate research challenges independently.
- Mentorship & team capacity building: Actively mentor, train, and manage junior researchers, focusing on developing their skills in advanced investigative methods, project management, and report integrity. You will be a crucial middle manager supporting the teams growth and resilience.
- Client management: Serve as a key point of contact for client accounts, ensuring prompt communication, managing expectations, and maintaining strong relationships through complex or challenging project phases.
- Commercial support: Depending on experience level, contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities within existing client relationships and supporting senior leadership in regional sales strategy.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Personal Profile
We are specifically seeking candidates who demonstrate a strong cultural fit and commitment:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in investigative Business Intelligence, risk consulting, or corporate compliance gained within a reputable peer firm.
- Regional expertise & language: Deep knowledge of the Asia-Pacific commercial and regulatory landscape, with advanced or fluent proficiency in at least one regional language (e.g., Chinese).
