Science Lab Technician (Punggol)

Contract Period: From 1 January 2026 to 25 December 2026

Working hours: Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

Job Description

• Maintain general cleanliness and functionality of the Science labs
  and equipment
• Monitor and manage stock-taking of equipment and Science resource materials.
• Maintain a catalogue of lab resources to assist teachers in planning of Science activities.
• Prepare lab materials/resources to ensure experiment is carried out effectively.
• Assist in the preparation of apparatus and equipment for lessons.
• Assist teachers when experiments are carried out during lessons.
• Keep a log on loaning and returning of apparatus by teachers.
• Sit in during Science Olympiad lessons.
• Any other jobs assigned by the department - administrative work which include collation of teaching and learning materials and preparation of resources necessary for teaching and learning in Science, helping during Science Practical Assessments.

Experience
Minimum 2 years experience as a Lab Technician/ Assistant
Relevant experience as a Lab Technician/ Assistant in a primary school setting is highly advantageous
Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with teachers, students and other stakeholders.
Able to read, write and converse in English
Well-organised, meticulous and detailed in carrying out tasks
