Social Worker (Yishun)
About the job Social Worker (Yishun)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mentoring and counselling support to identified students and families
- Build positive relationships and support students' holistic development
- Conduct student outreach, learning journeys, home visits, and family engagement sessions
- Facilitate group programmes for students with social, emotional, or behavioural needs
- Identify and report students requiring additional support
- Participate in case review and case management meetings with school support teams
- Refer students and families to appropriate community resources and external agencies
- Maintain case records and provide regular progress updates
Requirements:
- Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Community Development, or related field
- At least 1 year of relevant experience working with children, youth, or families
- Experience in casework or individual support preferred
- School-based or youth work experience is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to maintain case documentation and reports
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with school personnel
- Empathetic, patient, resilient, and able to engage at-risk youth effectively
Duration/Working hours:
30 days (Immediate)
Mondays and Thursdays
Working hours: 8.30am – 6.00pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break)
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Deployment period: July 2026 to October 2026
Estimated total deployment days: 30 days
