Food & Consumer Education Kitchen Assistant (Bartley)

• Maintain cleanliness of cookery room, including sinks, stoves, work areas, and equipment after lessons
• Wash kitchen linens, aprons, utensils, and clean the fridge weekly
• Assist teachers in preparing ingredients and materials for practical lessons
• Monitor and update stock of perishable and dry food items
• Keep FCE, needlework, and teacher rooms clean and orderly
• Support teachers in other FCE-related and ad-hoc school duties

• Requirements:
  Relevant Food Handling, Hygiene, and/or Food Safety qualification(s)
• Minimum 1 year experience in food preparation/handling and basic cleaning
• Organized, meticulous, and able to multi-task
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; team player

Duration/ Working hours:

9 months contract (Option to extend) 1 Jan 2026 to 31 Dec 2026

Mondays to Fridays: 7:00am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 45-minutes lunch
break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted Public
Holidays (including June, November and December School holidays).
