About the job Discipline Support Officer (Ubi)

Responsibilities

  • Patrol school premises and support student discipline and safety.
  • Handle student discipline cases, investigations and follow-up actions.
  • Supervise detention, in-house suspension and behavioural monitoring.
  • Conduct restorative conversations and support student behaviour improvement.
  • Maintain discipline records and communicate with parents when required.

Requirements

  • Former uniformed service personnel (e.g. Police, Prison Service or equivalent).
  • Experience in youth work, case investigation or behavioural support preferred.
  • Strong communication, conflict management and de-escalation skills.
  • Calm, firm and professional when handling challenging situations.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Google Workspace.
  • Positive belief in student growth and restorative discipline.

Duration/Working hours:

16 months contract (Jul 2026 to Oct 2027

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:
Mondays to Wednesdays & Fridays: 7.30am to 3pm, inclusive of 1
hour break with 6.5 working hours
Thursdays: 7:30am to 5pm, inclusive of 1 hour break with 8.5 working
hours
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
Service is also not required on Home-based learning Days, School
Vacation periods and Scheduled School Holidays (e.g. Youth Day
holiday, Day after National Day and Teachers' Day)
