Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Student Development Team (SDT) and School Management Team (SMT) in student management and discipline matters.
  • Assist in investigations, incident reporting, and communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Take students' statements and maintain proper documentation.
  • Draft and administer behavioural management forms and records.
  • Guide and coach students serving in-house suspension or Controlled Recess Duty.
  • Provide direct supervision for identified students, including classroom support when required.
  • Respond to teachers' requests for assistance in managing challenging student behaviour.
  • Escort students to designated calming rooms and support de-escalation efforts.
  • Provide basic counselling and emotional support to students.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold school policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Higher Nitec, Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Youth Work, or related disciplines.
  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience working with children or youth.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-management skills.
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to build rapport with students.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively with school staff.
  • Experience in a school or youth-related setting is an advantage.

Duration/Working hours:

12 months contract (Jul 2026 to Jul 2027)

Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 2:30pm, 7 hours per day inclusive of
1 hour lunch break (Reporting hours may change to fit the school's
needs).
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public
holidays and School Holidays (March, June, September and
December)
Estimated number of working hours per week: 30 hrs (excluding 1 hr
lunch break per day)
