Temp Field Research Assistant (Bukit Timah Nature Reserve)

We are looking for a motivated assistant to support the re-census of trees in the Bukit Timah Forest Dynamics Plots, followed by specimen processing. Candidates with relevant experience may also assist with specimen identification in the herbarium and data entry/analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in re-census of trees in the Bukit Timah Forest Dynamics Plots

• Process collected specimens

• Identify specimens in the herbarium (if experienced)

• Enter and analyze data (if experienced)

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Minimum qualification: A-Level

• Diploma or Degree preferred

• Relevant experience in fieldwork or herbarium work is an advantage

Skills & Experience:

• Attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Basic data entry and analytical skills

• Interest in ecology, botany, or environmental science

Duration/ working hours:

2 months contract

Work Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30 am – 6:00 pm

Friday: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm
