About the job Discipline Support Officer (Bishan)

Discipline Support Officer (DSO) to support student management and discipline operations in a school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct patrols and supervise students during recess, lunch and transition periods
  • Monitor latecoming and manage attendance / detention records
  • Support in-house suspension programmes and student reflection activities
  • Assist in preliminary investigations and incident reporting
  • Supervise detention sessions and restorative follow-up activities
  • Maintain discipline-related records and simple Excel data management
  • Work closely with Student Management Committee and school staff

Requirements

  • Preferably former uniformed personnel (e.g. SPF, SPS or equivalent)
  • Preferably 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in youth engagement, investigation or behavioural support preferred
  • Strong communication, conflict management and documentation skills
  • Able to interact firmly yet respectfully with students
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry

Duration/Working hours:

14 month contract (June 26 to Oct 27)

Mondays to Fridays: 8am to 5pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break (8
working hours, excluding 1 hour lunch break)
Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public and
school holidays, except for the dates specified below where applicable.
