Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for student behavioural and management issues
  • Conduct fact-finding and prepare incident reports
  • Implement immediate de-escalation and intervention strategies
  • Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict mediation
  • Support students in understanding the impact of their behaviour
  • Build positive relationships and rapport with youths
  • Conduct outreach and early intervention for at-risk students
  • Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of records
  • Work closely with the Student Management Committee, teachers, counsellors, and school leadership
  • Provide practical guidance and support within the school's restorative practice framework

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in youth work
  • Preferably certified in Counselling, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or related fields
  • Experience working with secondary school students preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to manage youths from diverse backgrounds
  • Passionate about youth development and student support
  • Able to build trust and positive relationships with students

Duration/Working hours:

18 months contract (Jul 2026 to Dec 2027)

Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays: 8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Inclusive of 1 hour lunch break on Mondays to Thursdays
Fridays, HBL days, pre-selected days during school holidays: 8:00
a.m to 12:30 p.m.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays

Total per week: 34 hours
