Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for student behavioural and management issues
- Conduct fact-finding and prepare incident reports
- Implement immediate de-escalation and intervention strategies
- Facilitate restorative conversations and conflict mediation
- Support students in understanding the impact of their behaviour
- Build positive relationships and rapport with youths
- Conduct outreach and early intervention for at-risk students
- Maintain proper documentation and confidentiality of records
- Work closely with the Student Management Committee, teachers, counsellors, and school leadership
- Provide practical guidance and support within the school's restorative practice framework
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in youth work
- Preferably certified in Counselling, Educational Psychology, Social Work, or related fields
- Experience working with secondary school students preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to manage youths from diverse backgrounds
- Passionate about youth development and student support
- Able to build trust and positive relationships with students
Duration/Working hours:
18 months contract (Jul 2026 to Dec 2027)
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays: 8:30 a.m to 5:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8:30 a.m to 3:00 p.m.
Inclusive of 1 hour lunch break on Mondays to Thursdays
Fridays, HBL days, pre-selected days during school holidays: 8:00
a.m to 12:30 p.m.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
Total per week: 34 hours
