Job Responsibilities
- Support inquiry-based learning in Science lessons
- Ensure smooth daily operations of two science laboratories
- Prepare materials, apparatus, and equipment for science practical lessons and assessments
- Maintain, operate, and care for science laboratories, school garden, and science learning corners
- Source, procure, and manage inventory of laboratory consumables and equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking of materials
- Uphold laboratory safety standards and serve as a certified first aider (if required)
- Provide logistical support during classes, workshops, and school events, including supervision of safe use of lab equipment
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned by the school
Requirements
- NITEC, Diploma, or GCE 'O' Level qualification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a laboratory technician, preferably in a primary school environment
- Comfortable handling live specimens (e.g., insects) and laboratory chemicals
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred)
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as in a team
Duration/Working hours:
1 year contract (Option to extend another year)
Mondays to Fridays: 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
