Job Responsibilities

  • Support inquiry-based learning in Science lessons
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of two science laboratories
  • Prepare materials, apparatus, and equipment for science practical lessons and assessments
  • Maintain, operate, and care for science laboratories, school garden, and science learning corners
  • Source, procure, and manage inventory of laboratory consumables and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and tracking of materials
  • Uphold laboratory safety standards and serve as a certified first aider (if required)
  • Provide logistical support during classes, workshops, and school events, including supervision of safe use of lab equipment
  • Perform general administrative duties as assigned by the school

Requirements

  • NITEC, Diploma, or GCE 'O' Level qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a laboratory technician, preferably in a primary school environment
  • Comfortable handling live specimens (e.g., insects) and laboratory chemicals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred)
  • Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as in a team

Duration/Working hours:

1 year contract (Option to extend another year)

Mondays to Fridays: 7.00 am to 4.30 pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public
holidays
