About the job Youth Worker (Bukit Batok)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise students undergoing detention, in-school suspension, and restorative programmes.
  • Conduct student check-ins, reflection sessions, and interviews.
  • Facilitate small-group activities to support students' social-emotional development.
  • Support programmes focusing on behaviour management, peer relationships, stress management, and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with school staff to support students requiring additional intervention.
  • Communicate with parents and liaise with community agencies when required.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with after-school intervention, enrichment, and student support programmes.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Education, Youth Work, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience working with youths, students, or in educational/community settings.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and student engagement skills.
  • Ability to facilitate group activities and manage students in structured environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic administrative documentation.

Duration/ Working hours:

1 year contract (Jul 2026 to Jun 2027)

  • 5 days a week in the School
  • Weekdays: 8:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays, gazetted public holidays and school holidays
