Seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Management Officer to support student discipline, well-being, and school operations in a secondary school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct morning and afternoon patrols to monitor student attendance, behaviour, and safety.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, and unstructured play periods.
- Support student management initiatives, including working with latecomers and students requiring behavioural interventions.
- Manage the Reflection Room and supervise students completing reflection or school service tasks.
- Assist in fact-finding, disciplinary matters, and classroom disruption management.
- Accompany staff and students on community service activities and perform campus patrols to promote a safe school environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma qualification.
- At least 2 years' experience in student management and well-being in a secondary school, or 2 years' experience in fact-finding/investigative work.
- Calm, empathetic, and professional with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to manage challenging behaviours, de-escalate situations, and maintain firm but fair discipline.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Duration/Working hours:
8 months (3rd August to 30th October 2026 and 4th January to 28th May 2027)
Mondays to Fridays: 7:30am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazette public holidays
