About the job Student Management & Discipline Support Officer (Lakeside)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preliminary investigations and fact-finding interviews for minor incidents
  • Collect statements, compile evidence, and prepare structured reports
  • Supervise student detention and IGNITE+ programmes
  • Ensure completion of assigned tasks and follow up on absentees
  • Support in-house suspension and manage students out of class
  • Liaise with teachers to ensure learning continuity
  • Perform data entry for discipline records (late-coming, offences, interventions)
  • Compile discipline statistics and monitor reporting channels
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of student information
  • Assist in reviewing discipline processes during school holidays
  • Undertake other administrative and operational duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma qualification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google tools
  • Preferably 3 years' experience in uniformed services (e.g. Police, Prison Service) with youth-related case work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to multitask, work independently and as part of a team
  • Calm and composed when handling challenging student situations

Duration/ Working hours:

20 months contract (May 2026 to Dec 2027)

Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30am to 6:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break.
Fridays: 8:30am to 5:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break.
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
