Job Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counselling and crisis intervention to students.
- Conduct case consultations with teachers, parents and external professionals, including home visits where required.
- Assess students' needs, manage cases, maintain proper documentation and monitor progress.
- Coordinate referrals and liaise with community resources, external professionals and agencies.
- Advise school management on student counselling cases and provide mental health consultation.
- Develop and conduct psycho-educational sessions and preventive programmes on mental well-being and healthy coping strategies.
- Develop mental health resources and conduct relevant training for staff and parents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Counselling with relevant professional counselling qualifications.
- Relevant counselling/social work experience, preferably with adolescents or young people.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, assessment and case management skills.
- Able to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers and external agencies.
- Organised, meticulous and able to manage multiple cases confidentially and professionally.
Duration/Working hours:
9 months contract (Jan 2027 to Oct 2027 , exclude Jun 2027)
Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
